General Frequently Asked Questions

  • I have my Groupon, what steps should I take to book an appointment.  Look at our menu (choose "Treatments" above) and read about our offerings, and choose those services of most interest to you.  Have your Groupon handy, and give us a call at 206.789.4500, and our booking specialists will find a time that works best for you.
  • Can I book online?  Yes.  The $75 of Spa/Salon Services Groupon vouchers offered December 13th, 14th, 15th are only valid for appointments after January 2nd.  Even for appointments booked online we MUST have record of valid Groupon numbers prior to confirming your appointment.
  • I see a "+" sign next to some prices on your menu, what does the "+" indicate?  For hair services, our prices are based on the specific experience and seniority of the chosen stylist.  An indication of 40+, for example indicates this service may be offered for $40 by some stylists but will be higher for others. For specific availability or pricing please call or use online booking.
  • Do your prices change?  Except for one or two individual services, we have not changed our prices in two years.  We may change prices in the future from time to time, but you should not expect to see wholesale price increases.  For validation of our current prices, you should always reference our website as they will always be the most up to date.
  • I see your hair services are priced based on specific hair stylists.  What about your other services?  At this time, the only variability in price is in regards to our hair stylists training, seniority, demand, and experience.  All other services offered across Source Salon & Spa are consistent regardless of whom you visit.
  • Can I request a specific service provider and will I be ensured they will be the one I get when I ultimately visit?  Requests for a specific service provider are always honored.  If you do not have a specific one in mind, we will offer a suggestion based on a variety of things including schedule availability, your individual goals, stylists skill sets, etc...  We will not change your service provider without prior approval from you.  If a provider becomes unavailable (illness for example), we will offer you a choice of seeing another, or finding the next mutually agreeable availability for your original choice.
  • I booked a hair service, but I wasn't told the price?  Unless explicitly stated that the service price will be based on consultation, it would have been an oversight on our part to not quote you an exact price for your chosen stylist.  Please call and ask for clarification.
  • I want to get my hair cut AND colored, can I see a different stylist for each service?  Absolutely.  Each of our stylists are individuals with specific strengths, training, and interests that may be best suited for your varied needs.  Maybe you have a technically challenging request in regards to color with a very general haircut.  This situation may warrant a more experienced colorist, but allow for a more economical haircut.  Loyalty based on specific needs and a comfort level built over time is common, and typically having a single stylist that flows from consultation, wash, color and cut provides a certain level of service that most clients value.  However we enjoy making introductions to all of our talent if that is something you feel you would benefit from.

Proper Voucher Redemption (Tell us your voucher#, bring your voucher)
  1. When booking your appointment you must specify you will be redeeming a Groupon voucher and provide all identifying voucher numbers to hold your appointment.  Feel free to call in regards to schedule availability but we will not be able to confirm your appointment without a valid number
  2. You must ALWAYS bring either a printed voucher or GrouponMobile application (available for iPhones or Android) at time of checkout.
  3. If you are unable to produce a printed or mobile voucher at the time of checkout, we will require payment in full.  However, we are more than happy to follow with a full credit back to you in the form of a gift card upon delivery and verification of a valid voucher.

Occasional BONUS's
Any specified offers or additions listed below are only offered as a BONUS to existing Groupon vouchers.  Please reference your printed voucher and the Groupon website itself for the most concise limitations and terms associated with your given voucher.  Quantities, prices, or discounts for any bonus may be limited, terminated, or modified at any time.  A decision to purchase/redeem the Groupon voucher should entirely be based on the value as specified on the voucher.  Any additional incentives listed here should solely be regarded as a BONUS to the great value you are already receiving.  In short, if you bought a discount voucher, we will honor it with pleasure throughout the valid period of the voucher, per the terms printed upon the voucher.  However, until you get a chance to visit us, do keep an eye here and you may even find extra special bonuses throughout the year.

Cancellations (24 hours* notice or voucher is forfeit):
We have a very flexible cancellation/reschedule policy within 24 hours of your given appointment.  You may make any changes you wish, provided we are given 24 hours notice.  However, 24 hours prior to your appointment, your appointment time is agreed and fixed, and we do not honor changes.  Late, no-show, or cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of your voucher.  We understand our clients have busy and dynamic schedules, so we are committed to maintaining this flexibility.  In exchange, we do not return money/credit for a forfeited voucher (due to insufficient notice) even in the case of emergency or illness.
*In some instances (such as group bookings, parties, or selectively specified services) 48 or more hours may be explicitly stated.

Please read the Fine Print in detail on the voucher.  Of specific note:
  • No massages or Express Facial  is covered by voucher.
  • Voucher may not be redeemed until after January 2nd.  We are not pre-booking services covered by these vouchers until December 31st to provide for ample time to get through the holiday rush.
  • Entire voucher value must be used in one visit, and may not be split between people.
  • Voucher may only be used for newly experienced services.  If you've visited us before, we welcome your return and use of this voucher for any eligible service(s) you haven't yet tried.
  • You may book appointments exceeding the $75 voucher, you will just pay the excess.
  • You certainly may book services excluded by the voucher (express facial, massage), their cost just cannot be covered by this voucher.
  • The voucher may only be applied to regularly priced services.  You may not combine this offer with any others.
  • Coordinated group appointments (two or more people coming at the same time) will be accommodated as we are able.  Please understand that these sort of requests limit your available options and may require bookings farther into the future.
  • Any unused portion of your voucher may not be carried forward, may not be refunded, and may not be applied to taxes, gratuity, or products.

Redeem your basic mani/pedi voucher with an upgrade to Signature mani / Signature pedi
On our home page choose Book Appointment.  Once logged in, under the Groupon Voucher Redemption category, choose "Voucher + $15-Signature Mani/Pedi".  Choose your time, any additional services you wish to add, make note of your voucher number in the appointment notes, and bring your voucher with you.  The $15 upgrade fee will be collected when you check out.
Redeem your basic mani/pedi upgraded to Signature mani / Therapeutic Pedicure
On our home page choose Book Appointment.  Once logged in, under the Groupon Voucher Redemption category, choose "Voucher + $25-Signature Mani / Therapeutic Pedi".  Add any additional services you wish to add, choose your start time, make note of your voucher number in the appointment notes, and bring your voucher with you.  The $25 upgrade fee will be collected when you check out.

$100 worth of spa services--Offered January 2010
If you hold an unused January 2010 voucher, you may choose any regularly priced service on our menu (excluding massage) per the terms of your January voucher.  These vouchers are due to expire on January 9th.  We are happy to consider extending the expiry date, upon request, given certain limitations.  Please call us immediately to discuss a possible extension to avoid the loss of your investment into this voucher.  To keep our offerings fresh and dynamic, we will need to give way to the newest years promotions eventually, and we will come to a point where expired vouchers will no longer be honored.   If you hold an expired voucher, get in contact with us to at least get your extension request on record so we may keep in communication with you in regard to our eventual last day of redemption date for these vouchers.
